I've never been much of a heavy leg lifter. I always focused on speed and endurance, so I never really saw the point in lifting heavy. I now see how this is a major hole in my fitness, one that I need to fix this year. There is no reason I shouldn't be able to run a sub 45mins 10km with moderate effort and front squat more than 175 pounds (my current low PR). It's challenging, but I'm up for it.
